What is Counselling?
Talking therapy provides a safe and confidential space for you to talk to a trained professional about your issues and concerns. Your therapist will help you explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours so you can develop a better understanding of yourself and of others.
Counselling can take different forms depending on your needs and what type of therapy may be suitable. During a session, your therapist may take you through specific exercises designed to help with your problem, or you might have more general discussions about how you're feeling. What you talk about will vary depend on what you want help with.
Our therapists train in a pluralistic approach which means that through their training they learn several therapeutic approaches including Behaviourism, CBT, Humanistic, and Psychodynamic approaches. Our therapists are constantly training to expand their knowledge and are able to incorporate, coaching, hypnotherapy, mindfulness and meditation into the sessions if required.

How long is treatment?
Counselling at Clarity Healing is offered in sessions of 50mins. Before embarking on a treatment plan you will be invited to have an initial consultation. You may be sent some forms to complete prior to your arrival. This is to help the therapist to get to know you and to see how they may support you. During this appointment and all future appointments your therapists focus will be completely on you and your needs. Counselling isn't a one size fits all. The number of session you have will depend on your personal circumstances and what you would like to discuss. Our practitioners offer short and long term therapeutic options.
